Finding Your Feral is a 5-week online course for songwriters/performers who are looking to let go of the rigidity that can come with classical/standard songwriting techniques, for the self-taught writers who feel stuck in their usual prompts/exercises, and any performer/singer-songwriter who’s looking to discover their instinctual voice and get a little wild while doing it!

We will meet once a week virtually, exploring different creative prompts/tools I’ve developed and learned over my fifteen years as a self-taught professional songwriter, as well as somatic practices I’ve learned to apply prior to writing & performing to let one’s feral flag fly! We will also spend a portion of the class listening and analyzing our own generated material each week (two students per class), as well as giving you long-lasting tools that you will learn to apply on your own through assigned weekly prompts. 

You will be asked to share your generated materials from the at-home portion of the class each week prior to class via a Google Drive folder. Additionally, you will have the ability to schedule an hour long one-on-one session with me throughout the five weeks to explore a topic/prompt, a song you’ve been wanting feedback on, or anything else you might be wanting support with. 

This course is for songwriters/musicians with an intermediate to advanced skill set. If you have never written a song before, or have just begun to dip your toes into the act of songwriting, my beginner songwriting intensives or one-on-one consultations would be a better fit.
